In the Beginning
While traveling throughout Southeast Asia, the founder of The Colored Pencil Project distributed notebooks and pens to children in rural villages. Looking into the faces and hearts of these little ones, the idea of The Colored Pencil Project was born. The notion being that sometimes even a tiny act, like distributing art supplies, can make a difference in this great big wounded world.
Past Projects
Our South American project reached 800 children in Colombia and 500 children in Peru. Our previous project to India reached over 1,000 children in remote villages in the Arunachal Pradesh region of India.
