Exhibition - March 15 - April 15, 2011

We held our first exhibition of the artwork created by the children we have reached internationally during travels to South Africa, India, Colombia, and Haiti. A special thanks to the Towne Art Gallery at Wheelock College for their interest in our work. For more information www.wheelock.edu/art

Gallery Reception- April 2, 2011 

Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for a reception to celebrate the amazing artwork The Colored Pencil Project has collected over the past 3 1/2 years. Armed with paper and colored pencils, children around the globe had an opportunity to communicate their hopes, fears and dreams through the universal language of art. In a selfless act of generosity, these artists donated their work so that we can have a small glimpse through the window of their lives.


A Benefit Concert - April 1, 2010 

A large crowd joined The Colored Pencil Project for an engaging multi-cultural Benefit Concert put on by the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and the Blanchard Elementary School Choruses. The students sang select pieces from the two regions The Colored Pencil Project has already visited (South Africa and India) as well as songs from The Colored Pencil Project's next destination. All proceeds benefitted The Colored Pencil Project. The concert took place on April 1st 7:00pm at the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, 36 Charter Road, Acton, Mass. 


A Yoga Benefit Class - September 20, 2009

Enthusiastic yogis joined yoga guru and Boston Ballet dancer, Kathy Hartsell, as she taught a class in the Grand Studio of the Boston Ballet. All donations went directly to the Project. A special thanks to Kathy and the Boston Ballet for a wonderful morning!		 _

 Fundraiser Event - August 12, 2008

  A great crowd of supporters joined us for an evening of    drinks and hors d'oeuvres to raise funds for Coloring all Corners of the world.

 Big for a Day Art Workshop - June 21, 2008

i see you, i see myself: Connection and Creation through Colored Pencil Portraits. The Colored Pencil Project held an art workshop for the Big Sisters Association Big and Little Sister Matches, exploring art and creating self-portraits.		 _

Fablevisionary Awards - June 20, 2008

Hannah Richards, Founder of The Colored Pencil Project, was inducted into the FableVision Constellation Hall of Fall, "for outstanding service and dedication in moving the world to a better place".

Benefit Concert - June 14, 2008

Soprano Jennifer Moss and A capella group Working for Scale held a benefit concert and reception with immense applause and enthusiasm from the audience. Thank you to Jennifer Moss, Working for Scale, and Joanne and James Moss for making the afternoon such a success!
