News and UpdatesThe Colored Pencil Project recently traveled to Guyana, South America, in January of 2015. We spent a week in country, collaborating with Peace Corps Volunteers and their local counterparts, all of whom volunteer in either the education or health sectors. By teaching these large groups of volunteers about art education, training them to facilitate our workshops on self-expression, and then equipping them with the necessary colored pencil supplies, and line marking paint, they were able to return to their own respective villages throughout Guyana and lead workshops with the children in their local schools and youth centers.
